2023 Distinguished Alumnus of the Year!

The Maritime College Alumni Association is a non-profit organization established in 1903, and prides itself on the unique camaraderie of its members. Our main goal is to raise funds to support students and cadets of the college. Each year, we aim to distribute $500,000 in scholarships to cadets about to embark on their Summer Sea Term, a requirement for all first and second class cadets in the regimented program.

Once a year, we gather in lower Manhattan for our Distinguished Alumni Honors Dinner to celebrate remarkable individuals amongst our alumni and the Maritime community. On Thursday, January 26, 2023, we will again be congregating at Tribeca 360º to honor the following two outstanding gentleman who have worked tirelessly for the betterment of the organization.

• Kevin Graney, Class of ’86, President of General Dynamics Electric Boat, for Distinguished Alumnus of the Year
• Prof. Peter Vecchio, Class of ’92, Chair, Marine Transportation Department, SUNY Maritime College, for Special Recognition.
